Elizabeth Veilleux studied with Patricia Fournier at the Laval University where she received, with honorable mention, her Master’s Degree in classical singing. The mezzo-soprano made her professional debut in Europe in the summer of 2013, where she sang the role of Flosshilde in a dutch avant-garde production of R. Wagner’s “Das Rheingold”. We heard her in the Brigade Lyrique during the 4th edition of the Festival D’Opéra de Québec. During the 2014-2015 season of the Opéra de Québec, she performed the role of Manon in F. Lehár’s “La Veuve Joyeuse” as well as the Shepherd in G. Puccini’s “Tosca”. She was also seen as the Third Lady in the company’s fall production of W. A. Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”.
